Osteopathy
Osteopathy is a type of holistic manual therapy which aims in restoring health of the whole body. It emphasizes the interrelationship between structure and function, and believes in the body’s innate ability to heal itself. This concept of interrelatedness plays an important role in the holistic perspective to the therapy.
This approach treats pain and dysfunction by correcting structural misalignment, mobility and restoring optimal body function by working with multiple systems of the body. Osteopathic manual practitioners achieve success by the use of highly papaltory skills to feel and identify restrictive patterns and decreased mobility due musculoskeletal tensions and inflammation, visceral restrictions, or obstructions between the brain and spine.
