Orthotics require maintenance as do most other medical devices. If you have been wearing custom orthotics prescribed sometime in the past and your feet don’t feel comfortable, it is time to once again see a foot doctor. At Palermo Physio and Wellness Centre, our foot care specialist will assess your individual condition, explain the details of the foot problem, if any, and discuss an individualized foot treatment plan. If custom orthotics are recommended, we use the gold standard of casting techniques: plaster of Paris casting for an impression of the foot and arch structure. Based on exams and bio-mechanical measurements our custom orthotics specialist will prescribe and fit customized orthotics which are as supportive as they are comfortable.
